Additional CMR-related Projects

Additional CMR-related Projects relate to a wide range of activities beyond the core CMR experiments that we perform. These projects include experiments with pig hearts, research on cardiac valves, and various other CMR-related studies. By integrating diverse methodologies and experimental approaches, these projects aim to enhance our understanding of heart function and disease, ultimately contributing to advancements in cardiology.

Ex-vivo pig heart

Performing experiments on an ex-vivo pig heart setup in working mode is a crucial part of our additional CMR-related projects. In these experiments, we capture ECGs, perform ablations, and take biopsies to study the heart function in detail on both the electrical and mechanical front. the next step is to translate these findings into the MRI suite, enabling more advanced and integrated analysis.
